Exciting 2 year fixed term opportunity to join the VBA Data Analytics team
The Victorian Building Authority recognises the critical role of data in driving strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. As such, the Senior Data Analytics Developer is central to advancing the Azure Data Analytics Platform (DAP), ensuring its enhancement and maintenance.
This role focuses on proficiently managing both structured and unstructured data, leveraging modern analytics tools like PowerBI and data models to derive actionable insights for regulatory decision-making.
This position reports directly to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) within the Data Office. The primary responsibility is to lead data-driven initiatives as part of the VBA Data Analytics team. Situated within the broader Digital & Data division, the Data Office is at the forefront of a comprehensive data transformation agenda across regulatory functions. This underscores the organisation's strong commitment to leveraging data for informed regulatory governance.
What we are looking for:
- Developer level expertise in Power BI, including data modelling and Dashboard / Report development.
- Proficiency in ETL and Data Modelling within an Azure environment.
- Experience with the Microsoft BI stack, including Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, & PowerApps.
- Advanced analytical skills in Business Intelligence and Reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications in either (Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics) or other relevant disciplines.
