A great opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer, where you are able to design and build modern and re-usable data solutions on a landscape of constantly evolving marketing products, and opportunities?

We're looking for a talented and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our data team. The data team creates value for the Domain Group by building re-usable data assets that enable every single department in the group to deliver value from our data rapidly.

The purpose of the position is to develop and build scalable solutions and data assets that will serve as the source and authority for all customer-related decisions/lifecycle journeys to be used across different products in the Marketing business unit in the Domain Group ecosystem.

As part of the Domain Group, you'll have the opportunity to work with the Martech team to design Data Engineering solutions across all aspects of our customer marketing ecosystem.

• You are passionate about customers and genuinely care about providing best data driven personalised communication;

• You are a generous collaborator who can work in teams with diverse backgrounds. You are proactive, and have exceptional communication skills ;

• You are not afraid to grapple with the unknown and be innovative

• You can easily connect into various sources ( internal / external ) via different methods ( SAAS solutions, API, direct connection, streaming, etc ) on cloud architecture;

• You can read / write complex SQL statements to make it less costly ( time and money wise )

• You've proven experience working with semi-structured and unstructured data;

• You're at ease working with data, at the detail, and conceptually;

• You are a master of modern data modelling that can evolve with the business in an agile environment; Data modelling experience towards Customer segments is a plus.

• You can apply your expertise in exploratory analysis, data mining and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers;

• You have attention to details and data quality is part of your daily life routine;

• You are by nature an outside of the box thinker and problem solver;

Attributes

• Strong hands-on experience working in commercial/business environments in a software engineering/ Data Engineering capacity ;

• Strong development experience in one or multiple languages (SQL, Python).

• Experience working with Martech Platforms ( Tealium and Braze is a plus )

• Experience with data integration and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and creating / maintaining pipelines using DBT;

• Experience working with cloud data warehouse, Snowflake.;

• Experience designing data solutions on cloud infrastructure and services, such as AWS;

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  

• Strong communication and collaboration skills at all levels;
