Working for this large private sector organisation, I am currently recruiting 2 x Senior Data Engineers on initial 6-month day rate contracts + extensions based in Brisbane CBD. This employer offers great WFH options with 3 days per week from home.
As a Senior Data Engineer you work primarily with the Azure Data Platform to design and develop data products that leverage it (integration solutions, reports, etc), while sharing knowledge and strengthening the capabilities of the team.
About the Role:
Designing and delivering our new Azure Data Platform to enable the business to leverage their data assets;
Support the onboarding of new data sources into the platform by building highly optimised, resilient, scalable data pipelines;
Identify, design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing data infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.;
Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimising our product into an innovative industry leader; and
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
About You:
Extensive experience developing data ingestion solutions in the Azure ecosystem - Data Factory, Data Bricks, Synapse, Data Lake;
Experience with CI / CD process and tools and sound knowledge of software engineering principles;
Experience designing and developing data models across a range of functional areas;
Experience in data profiling, facilitating business-led data cleansing and Data Quality frameworks; and
Self-motivated individual able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
