FDS is a well respected experienced dental team providing specialist support (Oral Medicine, Minor Oral Surgery, Periodontics & Dental Implants) to general dental practices extending from Brisbane West through to Brisbane North and the Sunshine Coast. We are looking for a motivated "self starter" who wants to join our team. Our motto is "extra care" - not just for our patients - but also for our staff. The role available will involve chair side assistant duties at either our Taringa and Strathpine "Hub" dental specialist clinics (pending your location) as well as supervision of the existing DA's and some administration duties (mix = approx. 80% clinic and 20% admin over an 8 - 10 day fortnight).

Job tasks and responsibilities
- Senior Clinical DA Taringa / Strathpine locations. Chair side assisting for routine perio, minor oral surgery and dental implant surgery.
- Over seeing the maintenance of accreditation standards for both locations - and supervision of the other DA's to help in this role.
- Assist with administration duties - reception (approx. 20% - 40% of time).
Skills and experience
- Certificate III Dental Assisting preferred - but not essential. We REALLY want the right person - so experience is the essential ingredient !
- Able to help maintain the 'high' standard of service required in an 'accredited' dental practice. Professional in presentation and manner.
- Must be trained in sterilisation procedures and the concept of 'tracking' all instrumentation. Attention to detail. Or quick on the uptake and able to be trained.
- Good phone skills - pleasant character and cheerful manner.
- Can work well in a team environment with good communication skills.
- Self starter - with initiative and "keen to learn".
