AddressDental Outreach Pty Ltd is currently seeking motivated, confident, and experienced Senior Dental Assistants with active opportunities based in Ceduna, Moonta, Peterborough, Burra, Kangaroo Island, Ardrossan, Adelaide, Berri on a full-time basis. We are looking for a highly experienced Dental Assistant who will be responsible for:
CLINICAL:
- Providing chairside assistance to the dental clinician including dental charting;
- Preparing and providing equipment, instruments, dental consumables and laboratory items for each patient according to the dental treatment to be provided;
- Ensuring appropriate dispensing of dental consumables;
- Undertaking infection control procedures (including waste and sharps disposal) in the dental surgery according to the AS NZS 4187, AS NZS4185;
- Undertaking dental equipment decontamination and sterilisation in the sterilisation facility.
TRAINING:
- Orientating and training dental staff (including locum dentists, other dental clinicians, agency dental nurses and dental students) in complex surgical treatments, surgical equipment, infection control protocol and procedures;
- Preparing and updating training manuals to support training in clinical procedures;
- Undertaking ongoing education programs;
- Auditing dental staff regularly.
ADMINISTRATION:
- Preparing and managing roster for clinical staff;
- Reviewing and approving Sick Leave, Annual Paid and unpaid Leave for Dental Assistants.
The experienced Dental Assistant/Clinical Supervisor will have:
- 2+ years professional clinical experience;
- a commitment for providing a high level of patient care;
- relevant dental qualifications;
