The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Developer to help us expand our capability in the Platform Services space. In this position you will build, own, and run services used by multiple systems across the MYOB product landscape. You will play a pivotal role in designing, building and deploying scalable, secure, highly available, and reliable applications hosted on AWS. You will work collaboratively with a highly cohesive unit and will always be looking to help up-skill and support your teammates.

We are a cross-functional team consisting of Product Managers, BAs, QAs, Developers, and Engineering/Delivery Managers within the Platform Services division of MYOB. Our technology remit is vast, varied, challenging and ripe for improvements. We strive for product and technical excellence with a relentless approach to delivering value to our customers frequently. We believe in completely owning and running the systems we build. We step up to our challenges and back ourselves to drive to great outcomes.
What you will bring
- Solid experience working as a Senior Software Developer within a variety of teams and contexts
- Well-versed in modern languages such as Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Typescript, etc.
- Experience in building web apps using modern frameworks such as React or similar
- Database Experience, including knowledge of SQL, and related data stores such as Postgres
- Experience with AWS or other public cloud providers
- Experience with Test Driven Development, utilising unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration and deployment
- Good understanding of SDLC principles including agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean and Continuous Delivery
