Nuage Technology Group have partnered with a large enterprise. We are seeking highly skilled Senior Java Developers with expertise in Java, SQL, and the AWS stack to join the clients team on a contract basis.
You will be responsible for identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in various Java applications, particularly single-page apps, by upgrading both the codebase and business logic. This role requires a deep understanding of Java development best practices, strong SQL skills, and proficiency in AWS configuration and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify vulnerabilities in Java applications, particularly related to outdated libraries, insecure code, and misconfigured AWS parameters.Develop and implement strategies to remediate vulnerabilities, including upgrading libraries, rewriting code to mitigate security risks (e.g., SQL injection attacks), and configuring AWS services securely.
- Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers on best practices for secure Java development.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats, industry best practices, and advancements in Java and AWS technologies.
- Participate in incident response activities and contribute to the resolution of security incidents as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Java developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in Java programming and SQL.
Extensive experience with the AWS stack, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation.
Deep understanding of application security principles and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
Experience remediating security vulnerabilities in Java applications, including familiarity with secure coding practices and techniques for secure AWS configuration.
