The Licensing Program delivered by the NSW Department of Customer Service (DCS) is one of eight Lighthouse Programs, with a vision “To be the world's easiest regulator to engage with through delivering smarter, customer centric digital solutions, reducing red tape, enhancing business productivity and protecting NSW communities.” To achieve that, existing licences 'schemes' will be digitised. This will be achieved by moving away the existing Siebel system into a new state of art licensing platform “Amanda”. As part of this transition all license information will be migrated from the existing Siebel system into the new Amanda system in a phased and agile delivery approach.
The existing Siebel system is a on on-prem solution, with and underlying database in MS SQL Server. Due to the complexity of the data and the scope of the project, additional source systems with varying source types are likely required to be included as part of the Data Migration execution. The target system Amanda is deployed on Microsoft Azure cloud with its underlying database as MS SQL Server.
