YOUR ROLE
We are looking for an outstanding Senior DevSecOps / Cloud Engineer to join our Technology and Operations Firefly Platform Team. The Senior DevSecOps & Cloud Engineer is an integral part of IAG's technology team and is responsible for advancing our integration capabilities.
This role combines software development, security, and cloud operations to ensure that our platforms and APIs are developed, deployed, and maintained with the utmost security, efficiency, and reliability.
As the Senior DevSecOps & Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with development and operations teams to implement DevSecOps practices that integrate security controls, automated testing, and deployment pipelines. Your responsibilities include managing Cloud Infrastructure, where you will design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud environments.
This full-time, permanent role is open to people based anywhere in Australia and New Zealand, to all major Cities and involves a hybrid work model.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps / Cloud Engineer with proven experience in best practices and delivering enterprise services/products and as many as the following experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer or relevant experience in a similar field
- Experience in Java Build and Deployment ecosystem (e.g. Maven/Gradle).
- Solid Understanding of Service Mesh Technologies
- Experience with version control, development & cloud security best practices, building scalable CI/CD solutions & implementing CI/CD code quality controls.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles & event-driven architectures
- Demonstrated experience designing & developing well-architected solutions in AWS using cloud-native services (including logging, monitoring & observability)
- Extensive hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, IAM, and VPC services.
- Transit Gateway, API gateway, Code Build, Code Pipeline, CloudFormation, etc.
- Experience with DevOps technologies including or similar to the following: Bamboo, Bitbucket, GitHub, Nexus, Jenkins, Vault or similar.
- Extensive experience/expertise working with Linux & Windows Servers.
- Demonstrated experience in hardening Kubernetes environments, adding security controls and best security practices for Docker images.
- Demonstrated experience in Kubernetes administration.
- Experience in provisioning and managing cloud services principles and creation/automation of access controls in the cloud (AWS preferred)
