What you'll be doing
The Senior Dietitian will conduct clinics for patients with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, GDM, Diabetes in Pregnancy, and in patients who have undergone a pancreatectomy.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics and eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Recent, extensive and varied post graduate clinical experience as a Senior Diabetes Dietitian
- Evidence of extensive experience in tailoring verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external service providers. Extensive experience in working and communicating with multi-disciplinary teams. Demonstrated proficient computer literacy and ability to confidently use health information systems
- Extended skills and specialised knowledge in the provision of current Diabetes dietetic practice. Ability to take responsibility for the delivery of evidence-based practice for consumers, carers and families.
