AddressWe have an amazing job opening for a skilled educator to join After School Excellence.
Our service provides Before and After School Care, as well as Vacation Care for over 120 children daily.
As the Senior Educator, you will be supported by a Director, an Assistant Director, and an Educational Leader.
This position would be ideal for someone who has worked as an Educator for a minimum of 12 months and looking to take on the next step in their career or someone who has previously held a leadership position in childcare.
For instance, a Coordinator who wishes to reduce their workload with paperwork, but still has a passion to guide a team using their expertise and work directly with children.
This role involves working directly with children and families at the service, which is key to delivering the program and ensuring the service abides by its policies, regulations and laws. A high level of customer service is required for this role, as you will be required to liaise with families at the drop-off and collection of children.
Location - Glendore Public School Maryland, Newcastle NSW
- Regular rostered hours secured shifts and the same location.
- Work with a full team of Educators (a mix of Full-time, Permanent and Casual Educators at the service. )
- To be successful in this role, you must be prepared and able to be the responsible person on duty at times when management is not onsite.
- This is a split shift position and requires you to work a split shift Monday to Friday.
- This position is Part Time a minimum of 30 hours per week

Working for After School Excellence:
- Receive Regular Hours
- 5 Days per week available
- No moving sites or locations
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the service
- Ongoing Training
- Daily support from Management
- Part of a large, experienced, and supportive team onsite
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of consistent work as an educator
- Qualifications in Children's Services or Equivalent Experience working with children.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Ability to work Monday to Friday
- Current First aid certificate HLTAID012 or 004
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding of My Time Our Place or EYLF
- Current driver’s licence and own car (desirable)
