DESIGN + DRAFTING
• Independently creating concept designs based on technical knowledge
• Collaborating with engineers to develop efficient and effective electrical drawings as required, which remain compliant with client specifications, codes, and regulations:
- drawings may include panel layouts, electrical schematics, single lines, cable schedules and parts lists etc
• Maintain a high standard of design drafting using quality checks and procedures
• Identify and take action to mitigate risk in Electrical Design
• Perform redline mark ups and redraws as provided via client
• Maintain an up to date understanding of Australian design standards in accordance with A1102 and various client CAD standards
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as data sheets and manuals
• Continuously building knowledge and keep up to date on the technical and procedural aspects of the role
• Adhere to standards and templates
• Mentor and support fellow Drafters and colleagues within the business
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Be a champion of the Waterline Purpose, Values and Brand
• Attending client meetings and taking briefs to develop project scopes that meet client needs
• As required, site visits to maintain relationships and contact with existing Clients by delivering excellent service
• Meet with clients to determine project scope requirements and track project progress, to be able to realise true project benefits
• Provide feedback to Team Leads on process and procedure improvements
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION/S
• RECOGNISED TERTIARY QUALIFICATION IN DESIGN DRAFTING OR DIPLOMA OF ENGINEERING
• OR RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN LICENSED ELECTRICAL TRADE
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
• 10+ years of experience in Electrical Design on Mining / Industrial projects
• Exposure to Australian Industry (including Mining, Energy, Chemicals, Oil & Gas)
• Strong knowledge of, or experience with the following:
- Microstation
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office suite including programming in excel
- Managing both Australian and Client Standards and specifications
• Exposure to onsite full project life cycle from concept design through to construction
Desirable Experience
• Multi-disciplinary project collaboration (Mechanical, Civil / Structural, Electrical, Process)
• Experience in a leadership or management position including coaching, motivating, and supporting others
