Job Description
We have a strong pipeline of projects in the design, development and construction of industrial and mining projects in Australia and overseas. We are currently recruiting for Senior Electrical Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Electrical Design Lead - Industrial, this position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:
- Supervising project personnel as directed by the Electrical Design Lead
- Producing Pitch Black Group and industry standard design drawings from the design engineers’ calculations and sketches.
- Coordinate with other designers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects.
- Ensuring drawings comply with all relevant Australian Standards
- Managing project specific drafting setups and standards complying with company and client specifications
- Reviewing of vendor drawings and design data.
- Ensuring project schedules and man-hour budgets are met for areas of assigned work.
- Maintaining progress details for drawings produced by any personnel under their supervision.
- Participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities to advance technical and professional skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
We expect the successful candidate will possess experience as follows:
- Minimum 8+ years in design drafting
- Proficiency in Autodesk design and drafting products
- Experience with LV electrical design (mandatory)
- Experience with industrial instrumentation design (highly preferred)
- Proficiency in 2D design - SLD / Schematics / Loop Diagrams / Block Diagrams / Facility Layouts / MCC GA's (mandatory)
- Experience 3D modelling (preferred)
- Experience conforming to internal & client standard, and AS1100.
