Select Electrical is a fast-growing Canberra based electrical company that operates in a variety of domestic and commercial solar and battery installations, air-conditioning installations and new homes electrical work. 

About the role

We are seeking a keen qualified/licensed tradesman who is looking to take on more responsibilities leading and developing our electrical teams skills base and ingraining efficiency and quality in our operations space. You will be running small and medium sized projects, responsible for the onsite teams performance, skills development, fault finding, solar and battery installations, residential and new home installations and helping guide and develop our apprentices and electricians to ensure operations run smoothly. 

You will learn to schedule work and be responsible for the on-time delivery of day to day works and commercial solar installations.  We have an entrenched safety culture and we encourage all employees to put safety first.

Skills and experience

Required skills include:

• Unrestricted Electrical Licence
• Drivers Licence
• Experience in fault finding and rectification
• Great work ethic
• Ability to manage and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians 
• Experience leading teams
• Basic computer skills
• Great people skills
• Well presented
• Punctual
• Experience with Solar Installation highly desirable but not mandatory
• CEC qualifications highly regarded but we will train you if you do not have them already
