Company Overview: JDP are stoked to be partnering with another global leader of Unmanned Systems they specialise in developing cutting-edge power systems and electronics for the Defence sector.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electronics and Hardware Engineer for a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the completion of a current project, focusing on the development and testing of power systems for UAV's.
Proficiency in electronics covering power systems, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and communications at component level, with experience in PCB design (preferably Altium Designer) and embedded C programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to complete the close-out phase of the power system development project.
- Design, build, and test electronic components and hardware prototypes.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of power systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Assist in the assembly of hardware components and harnesses for integration into unmanned aircraft.
- Adhere to ITAR regulations and maintain compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics design, testing, and hardware development.
- Proven experience with prototype hardware development and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with ITAR regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take the right approach to complex engineering challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Australian Citizenship required
- Experience working with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), aerospace systems or defence.
- Knowledge of software development principles and experience
