We are seeking a Senior Employee Relations Consultant to support our enterprise agreement negotiations project at our Perth Office on a 12 month maximum term basis. This is an exciting role for someone who is keen to gain experience in large scale union negotiations with exposure to all facets of industrial/Employee Relations.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in HR/IR or related discipline
- Extensive, broad and demonstrated industry knowledge and expertise of the current industrial landscape (industrial laws, dealings with unions).
- Strong negotiation, consultation and conflict management skills.
- Extensive experience in Employee Relations and/or human resource management, including the negotiation and conflict resolution of significant matters
- Experience working in large organisations within an ER role in an operational / unionised environment.
- Ability to identify strategic HR related issues, think laterally and apply analytical, qualitative and research skills to develop appropriate creative strategies for resolution.
Your role
Joining a well-resourced team, your role will primarily support the negotiation of Western Powers two enterprise agreements (covering over 4000 employees) and will also provide expert guidance, advice and support to employees and management on a range of day to day employment relations matters, in accordance with established government policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
