This role is within the Program Delivery and Operations team reporting to the Principal Engineer. In this role you will project manage the delivery of road infrastructure projects through the administration of contracts and provision of technical expertise and support to the design, construction, and maintenance process.

Highly motivated candidates with the ability to lead, influence and analyse are sought to join our district Program Delivery and Operations Branch. You will be a qualified Civil Engineer and be registered as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high performing and innovative with the ability to plan, assign, direct, supervise and encourage teamwork by fostering a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives. With efficient decision-making abilities, you will make informed judgement and recommendations to key stakeholders and customers.Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects.
- Provide support and advice on the planning and design process, to ensure delivery of project outcomes, fit for purpose, value for money and best practice are achieved.
- Ensure all project and quality management procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the delivery of road projects to a high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and clients.
- Determine the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components and systems involved in supporting project management and delivery.
- Communicates effectively through oral communication, adapting to audience needs and responses.

- A Washington Accord Accredited four-year degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for this position.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
