Senior ENGINEER (Civil)
Reporting to the Manager, Delivery and Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a range of road infrastructure projects, providing your technical expertise to support the design, planning construction and maintenance processes. This role will provide you with the opportunity to mentor junior members within the team.
As the Administrator, in the delivery of contracts, you will review contract documents, analyse offers and manage preconstruction, construction and maintenance activities. This position will also involve you assessing engineering requirements, designing safe traffic devices, and leading a range of technical staff to support the effective delivery of Road Maintenance Performance Contracts ensuring standards, guidelines and legislative requirements are applied.
Drawing upon your proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills you will also liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders involved in transport infrastructure delivery activities, including supporting the resolution of any customer concerns.
As the next Senior Engineer (Civil), you will have:
- Demonstrated success working as a civil engineer on road and bridge infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction and maintenance principles and practices.
- An openness to innovation and change.
- A strong results orientation and proven problem solving capabilities.
- Experience in mentoring junior members of the team or a strong desire to develop these skills.
- Sound communications and stakeholder engagement, driven to foster collaborative and customer focused solutions.
And the following Mandatory Qualifications:
- A four-year Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent, accepted by Engineers Australia.
- Registration as Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
- A current Class ‘C’ drivers licence.
Senior DESIGNER (Civil)
Reporting to the Principal Designer (Civil), Technical Services, you will be actively involved in the management and delivery of the planning and design stages of transportation infrastructure projects, providing expert technical support and advice. From project planning and conception through to development and implementation, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the whole project lifecycle including corridor planning, program development and program delivery and finalisation.
A broad and varied role you will be working across projects simultaneously, supervising transport infrastructure design models and ensuring planning and design principles are implemented in alignment with the relevant standards and guidelines. This position will also establish the resourcing, engineering and systems requirements that support effective project planning and delivery as well as mentoring more junior members within the team.
Working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including external design consultancies, you will draw upon your proven communication skills to manage expectations and identify and address any needs.
As the next Senior Designer (Civil), you will have:
- In-depth experience across all planning and design components relating to transport infrastructure projects.
- Ability to apply project management principles and work across a variety of projects simultaneously.
- An openness to innovation and change.
- A strong results orientation and proven problem solving capabilities.
- Experience in mentoring junior members of the team or a strong desire to develop these skills.
- Strong communications and stakeholder engagement, driven to foster collaborative and customer focused solutions.
- Experience using AutoCAD and 12D modelling software would be highly advantageous.
And the following Mandatory Qualifications:
- A minimum three-year, Sydney Accord accredited engineering degree.
- A current Class ‘C’ drivers licence.
