The services are built on the Citrix platform stack and serves over 120,000 clinical / corporate virtual-app sessions to clinicians and support staff around the clock.Come work with usWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer – Desktop Virtualisation to join our AVS team.As a Senior Engineer – Desktop Virtualisation, you will provide platform management, technical subject matter expertise, service improvement and support of the Citrix virtual app-desktop delivery services. The right person will be the responsible for operational management, improvement, automation, security, and protection of products associated services in the Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Application Delivery Controller (ADC), Citrix Application Delivery Management (ADM) technology framework. Ensuring the development, service design, planning and implementation of complex systems architecture, technical guidance, advisory, and the successful build, operation and running of products or platforms are in alignment to relevant technology roadmaps.This role will collaborate and work alongside other eHealth technology teams, technical capability managers, delivery managers and various stakeholder across the NSW Health organisation.Health Manager Level 4, commencing salary from $137,173.00 + 11% Super and Annual Leave loadingFor more information, read the full .What you will doAs an integral member of the Application Virtualisation Services (AVS) team are , you will:

• Provide platform and service level design, maintenance, and support across the virtual app-desktop delivery platforms (Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Application Delivery Controller (ADC), and Citrix Application Delivery Management (ADM)).
• Support project implementations and change management practices for new enhancements and system updates across virtual app-desktop delivery platforms, Active Directory (AD) domain services / group policies and other ICT-based systems.
• Manage the implementation of roadmap deliverables in consultation with Principal Engineers and Product Owners to prioritise design trade-offs and assessing risks to ensure delivery aligns to relevant architecture roadmaps, customer needs and organisational strategies.
• Lead discussions in development ceremonies, to refine, breakdown, size, document and implement user stories or tasks using appropriate methodologies, guiding principles and tools that create clarity and transparency surrounding all deliverables including managing the development of supporting technical and non-technical documentation.
• Manage and undertake the design and delivery of migration, extension, implementation, and transformation activities, that align to technology solutions, services, and components roadmaps.
• Manage investigations of designs technical complex situations that enable the roadmap vision and deliver desired qualities while identifying and developing recommendations that mitigate risks and dependencies that may impact the interoperability across systems.
• Manage the development and adherence to coding and testing standards, to improve security, functionality, supportability, and efficiency.
• Perform complex incident management, change request/fulfilment, health check/maintenance, escalations, monitoring, and resiliency testing activities to ensure a consistent high level of System/Service/Product/Platform security, optimization, resiliency, stability, and availability.
• Champion and contribute to the development of their relevant Capability Area Group (CAG) so that it maintains expertise in emerging trends and technologies. Design and develop education material and other resources, in consultation with training leads.
• Contributing to building streamlined ways of working for the capability across eHealth NSW.

About youWe are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:

• Demonstrated experience across Citrix platforms and associated virtual app-desktop services within complex environments, and cloud-based locations (Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services).
• Extensive experience with modern ICT Delivery and Operational practices (DevOps), including associated operating methodologies (such as Agile).
• Ability to identify technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of overall service.
• Establish effective stakeholder relationships.
• Strong technical writing and design capabilities.
• A self-driven attitude toward learning new skills and adopting upcoming technologies as requirements evolve.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to balance and juggle competing demands
