We have an exciting opportunity in the Corporate Applications team for a Senior Engineer - DevOps.
Reporting into Platform Lead - Corporate Applications, Service Delivery, you will be part of the team responsible for the developing, planning & delivering systems architecture, and ensuring the successfully build, operation and running of products or platforms in alignment to relevant roadmaps.
What you will do
As an integral member of the Corporate Applications team, you will:

• Be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, operational management, and support of databases (Oracle and SQL Server) and Middleware including any further enhancements.
• Contribute to critical IT projects providing expert advice and strategic support to the unit, whilst ensuring that all designs adhere to the technical, security and business architecture design standards.
• Create, lead, and maintain a constructive workplace culture.
• Provide technical team leadership on critical IT projects utilising Linux/Windows Server and AWS technologies.
• Identify and implement automated procedures to improve operational capability, provide self service capabilities and drive improvements in service delivery, including keeping abreast of industry trends and standards in DevOps tools.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and provide plain language advice on complex technical issues to non-technical audiences to enable informed business decisions and outcomes.
• Define and setup performance monitoring metrics for infrastructure including regular performance reporting to ensure environments are operated according to SLA's.

About you
The skills, knowledge and experience we are looking for in you are:

• Experience and working knowledge as a technical specialist in the design, installation, configuration and operational support of heterogeneous databases such as SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL.
• Demonstrated knowledge of advanced cloning techniques, patching, and upgrades of the Database and Oracle Fusion Middleware using scripting languages such as Unix Shell or PowerShell and Python.
