Senior Engineer - Mining Rehabilitation
We are seeking an experienced Civil/Mining Engineer to join our Hazelwood Rehabilitation Project in the Latrobe Valley. You will provide technical and engineering expertise across the project and support the leadership management team in the delivery and execution of the rehabilitation management plan.
The role will be accountable to the Technical Services Manager and will be based on the Hazelwood Rehabilitation Project.
Responsibilities:

• Compile and review relevant monitoring data for mine geotechnical compliance requirements and regulatory reporting
• Implement and maintain programmatic systems and processes to ensure compliance and alignment with risk management processes
• Provide technical and engineering support to the Hazelwood Rehabilitation Management Team
• Provide strategic input to the Hazelwood Rehabilitation Project Management Team (Civil) specific to the detailed civil design in rehabilitation and remediation works
• Implementing and execution of engineering projects
• Complying with Hazelwood Mine Rehabilitation Management Plan in accordance with government legislation and regulations concerning mine rehabilitation
• Support Technical Services Manager in providing problem solving, critical thinking analysis and offering alternative risk-based mitigation strategies
• Project management duties i.e., managing budgets, resources and deadlines acquiring and compiling quotes

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have an Engineering degree in Civil, Mining or equivalent comprehensive experience in a similar role. You will have a sound understanding of major civil earthworks and mine land rehabilitation and remediation, with a commercial awareness in project management. You are action oriented whilst being able to make sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information. You possess strong communication skills and are confident in building relationships/partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project plan requirements.
