RPMGlobal is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor with expertise in environmental impact assessment, approvals and environmental management in mining, to provide premium consulting services to RPM's global client base.
The role will provide environmental support to exploration and mining companies on environmental approvals, management, compliance, sustainability, climate change transition and mine closure. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of the Commonwealth and State environmental approvals process and will have demonstrated experience in project management and delivery of environmental approvals for mining projects.
This is a permanent full-time role, based out of our Perth CBD office and you will work alongside our team of environmental consultants across multiple assets and commodities. Domestic travel may be required as part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of client projects in a manner which meets timeframes, budgets and client needs.
- Act as a senior team member on projects, managing a team of advisors if required.
- Provide advice on compliance with Commonwealth and State environmental and emissions reporting legislation, guidelines and policies relevant to the regulatory authorities.
- Provide input on the environmental and social aspects of feasibility studies.
- Provide advice on sustainability planning and reporting and assist in delivery of client sustainability reports.
- Conduct compliance assessments and due diligence reviews of environmental aspects of Projects.
- Provide informal leadership and mentoring to mid-level and junior staff.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science.
- Proven experience in environmental management and approvals for mining projects.
- Experience working on mine sites providing environmental assistance will be highly regarded.
- Experience in environmental consulting would be highly regarded.
- Have experience contributing to a broad range of project documentation i.e. reports, feasibility studies, etc.
- The ability to communicate complex solutions to a variety of customer stakeholders, from technical to non-technical.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong relationship building and management skills in complex business environments.
- Technical report writing and presentations.
- Strong command of the English language in both verbal and written form.
- Eligible to work in Australia.
