BHP Western Australia Iron Ore is proposing to develop the Western Ridge Crusher (WRC) Project to sustain the Newman Joint Venture Mining and Processing Hub (NJV Hub) production.
The Project connects existing NJV Hub’s operations to the Silver Knight and Mt Helen ore deposits located on the western side of Western Ridge.
WRC Project will supply ore to the existing ore handling plant 4 (OHP4) via a new primary crusher (PC)and overland conveyor (OLC), transferring crushed ore to the existing Whaleback Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) with the option to radially stack both Low Grade (LG) material (for subsequent trucking to the Whaleback beneficiation plant) and High Grade (HG) Ore (for subsequent bulking in onto the OLC), when COS is being fed from the SOB's car dumper circuit.
