About the Job Patch Personnel have partnered with one of Australia’s pioneers in oil and gas to source a Senior Environmental Approvals Adviser to join a their highly regarded team. This position represents a career changing opportunity to work with a team of industry recognised and respected senior leaders on some of Australia’s most anticipated energy projects. The Senior Environmental Approvals Adviser reports to the Team Lead and is mandated to provide specialist environmental expertise in obtaining project specific regulatory approvals, approval compliance and technical environmental advice. Key Capabilities of the Senior Environmental Approvals Adviser include though are not limited to: Lead Environmental Approvals and compliance for planned offshore projects activities Manage consultants responsible for obtaining drilling approvals, drilling and seismic Environmental Approvals and assist compliance team as need be Project manage required studies (for e.g. snag risk assessment, noise and drill cuttings modelling) and environment approvals for the exploration and development wells as well as plug and abandonment / decommissioning activities Project manage services from scoping and contract procurement, planning and execution of specialist contractors to support technical monitoring programs and Environmental Approvals Support with the development and implementation of Stakeholder Consultation Methodology to ensure identification of and consultation with relevant persons required for Environmental Approvals Provide technical direction on environmental commitments from Environment Plans to the offshore workforce About you To be successful in this position it is essential to have worked in Environmental Approvals within the Australian Hyrocarbons industry on offshore projects. You will have be particularly well versed in offshore regulatory environmental approval process including; Environment Plans, Oil Pollution Emergency Plans, Commonwealth, State and Territory Environment legislation. An ability to work across audiences including external bodies, corporate and operations and a self-driven approach to managing the area of responsibility will be an essential component to success and a key element of the selection for this position. This position will commence as a contract based in Perth and requires a full and current right to work in Australia.
