Senior Environmental Approvals Officer

The Environmental Assessments and Approvals team provides technical expertise primarily to the City of Gold Coasts Infrastructure department. Team members form an integral part of core project teams and provide expert guidance on environmental aspects, impacts, mitigation, and design to avoid impacts to the environment where possible. The Teams currently focused on providing environmental impact assessment management, coordination, and technical skills for projects related to water supply, sewerage, and solid waste management, as well as a number of the Citys strategy program portfolio. We are responsible for obtaining all necessary statutory approvals for the Citys projects, and assisting and guiding projects through construction to ensure the environment is protected throughout the project lifecycle.
The team sits within the Environmental Improvement and Compliance business unit, under the Environment, Heritage and Resilience department.
