Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Environmental & Sustainability Business Partner to join our team at our site at Artarmon. In this role, you will be responsible for driving environmental initiatives and sustainability strategies such as managing Environmental & Sustainability (E&S) compliance, driving continual improvement in E&S systems and performance, identifying and implementing strategies to mitigate environmental risks, coaching leaders and others in the organisation, providing governance to EPA requirements and orders and advising on E&S priorities in and across the business.
Reporting directly to the Regional SHE Manager APAC you will collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainable practices into our day-to-day activities and long-term strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership, coaching and governance to all E&S related matters.
- Develop strategic goals and measures for E&S that are aligned to business needs and support organizational KPI’s and outcomes
- Support and engage with leaders and operational management to ensure we are actively seeking improvements to the environment, our people and sustainability solutions
- Maintain ISO certification
- Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans to manage environmental risk and support corporate sustainability, taking into account regulatory framework, systems requirements and continual improvement objectives
- Manage reporting of environmental performance within the business and as required by external authorities
- Maintain all relevant environmental licenses, permits, reports and monitoring records
Job Knowledge/ Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- Proven working experience in environmental, sustainability, carbon emissions & footprint analysis
- Knowledge & project implementation strategies to reduce Scope 1,2,3 carbon emission targets
- Chair Sustainability Steering Committees with management leaders on a monthly basis to track KPI’s and share sustainability project updates, action plans.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and awareness of key regulatory and other standards for compliance
- Submit EPA Annual Returns, NPI & NGER Reporting
- Understanding of requirements to maintain ISO14001:2004 certification
