About the Role:
Our pipeline of work means that we are hiring an experienced Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for the cost planning of internal and external projects across multiple projects.
As a Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor at Duo Quantity Surveyors, you will be expected to assume responsibility for ensuring all cost deliverables relating to our project and that they are complete, accurate and submitted in accordance with the various tendering project conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and the Director to cost plan a diverse range of internal and external projects from concept to tender phase.
- Experience with tender documentation, creating BOQ’s with efficient turnaround times.
- Supporting live projects with cost planning services from the pre-construction phase, through to progress and management
- Ability to produce tenders and manage multiple tenders at any given time.
- Preparation of construction pre funding reports and ability to manage progress claims and variations.
About You:
The right candidate will be self-driven and resourceful, possessing the confidence and experience required to solve problems and make decisions in a timely fashion. Whether working on one or multiple projects at any given time.
Candidate requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Estimating/Quantity Surveying, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities.
- Experience and success in cost planning and tendering construction projects across multiple market sectors
- Familiarity with Australian construction delivery and construction models, contracts
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools (such as Cubit Build soft, CostX, Bluebeam, AutoCAD,) or similar.
- Sound negotiation and time management skills
