What you will be doing
The Senior Evaluation Analyst will work closely with the Evaluation Manager to plan, develop, and undertake evaluations of initiatives, models of care, pathways and guidelines across the NSW Health system. This position will have a key focus on the evaluation of larger scale high priority health system programs in addition to supporting the evaluation of other ACI programs. Evaluations will be designed to monitor progress, measure outcomes and assess impacts of programs and projects and identify areas that may benefit from improvement.
This role will work collaboratively with all ACI Directorates, the Ministry for Health, Local Health Districts, Hospitals and health professionals to facilitate contribution to the evaluation process.
The key focus of the role will be to:
- Undertake evaluation activities and reporting in accordance with associated evaluation plans.
- Develop monitoring and evaluation plans (including program theory and logic models).
- Develop the methods, tools and project plans and undertake all aspects of ACI led evaluations. Support development of individual and organisational capacity to embed evaluation across ACI programs.
- Where required support the process of commissioning external evaluations to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Remuneration: $122,850 - $139,559 per annum, excluding Superannuation

Selection Criteria / Questions * Tertiary qualifications in a relevant or health related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in the design, conduct and leadership of program evaluations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the application of standard evaluation processes, principles, concepts and techniques including the development of program theories and logic models and demonstrated experience in the challenges of making causal attributions.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex information rapidly and accurately and to present information to a range of audiences using a range of mediums.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of evaluation project management with a highly skilled team and diverse range of stakeholders to deliver a high standard of evaluation.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate ( ) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
