As a Senior Experience Designer in our Customer Experience Design Centre of Excellence, you’ll take the lead in defining and creating beautiful experiences that delight our customers.

This role is responsible for leading digital projects and helping drive design system initiatives across our digital platforms that support our strategic objectives as well as ensure business success.
As a Senior Experience Designer, your role will be to:
- Lead design system initiatives and provide guidance across the business to ensure consistent implementation, bringing your exceptional UX and UI design skills to the foreground by creating better experiences for our customers.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to gather requirements, understand design needs, and translate them into reusable components and design guidelines.
- Contribute to designing and maintaining a comprehensive design system that aligns with our ANZ design standards.
- Provide design advice, guidance and support to other designers and stakeholders to ensure best practice is applied.
- Craft and deliver design artefacts that are high quality, consistent, coherent and align with our digital design strategy and Design Systems.
- Advocate and champion design thinking by bringing customer insights and data to the decision table.
- Advocate for inclusive design principles especially accessibility across design projects and initiatives.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
You are an experienced UX/UI designer, passionate about designing and maintaining a comprehensive design system that meet the needs of our delivery teams that use it, in creating delightful experiences that are human focused.
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
• 5-8 years’ experience undertaking and leading user experience and user interface design activities.
• Strong expertise in design system application design for Web, along with experience designing for native Mobile (iOS & Android).
• Strong expertise with component-based Design Systems that adhere to platform guidelines and conventions for web (Material Web) and native mobile (HIG and M3).
• A thorough understanding of the many facets of design and design thinking.
• Confidence with a range of design tools including Figma, FigJam and Adobe CC or other similar tools, whilst being open and adaptive to new trends and technologies.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every design element aligns with our overall design system.
• Working knowledge of designing inclusively with a strong focus on applying digital accessibility in design.
• The ability to develop strong collaborative relationships - managing, influencing, and communicating effectively with partners at all levels.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and help drive Design Systems initiatives.
• A good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from a technical implementation perspective would be an advantage.
• Highly proficient in project planning, communication, documentation and presentation, including an aptitude for convincing others of the value of their ideas.
• Great work ethic, proactive and positive mindset.
