About the role
To deliver mechanical/electrical advice to support the needs of the business in strategy, planning, design, and delivery to improve business, technical, customer and operational outcomes. Focus will include improving Vacuum Wastewater Systems and guidance for Networks Condition Asset Gradings. Monitor the condition and performance of the Mech/Elec assets of the Network facilities to meet reliability and operational requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
· Provide technical support of Vacuum Wastewater Systems and manage the Vacuum system asset class including renewals.
· Provide technical support of Networks Reservoirs including civil, mechanical and electrical components (such as reservoir walls and roof, pumps, motors, valves, etc.)
· Provide technical support of Networks mechanical and electrical components (such as pumps, motors, valves, etc.)
· Provide Condition Asset Grading (CAG) for Networks mechanical and electrical equipment based on CAG process.
· Support the renewal planning process for Network mechanical and electrical equipment.
· Ensure production of Seed Funding request.
· Provide a monthly update report for te Facility Team progress
· Ensure the integrity and value of asset related decisions, including maintenance and renewal strategies, and ensure decision frameworks are adhered to.
· Drive continuous improvement in asset management.
· Develop and review asset maintenance strategies, including life cycle analysis
· Support the review and continuous improvement of asset data quality & completeness.
· Support reliability and performance analysis.
· Lead root cause analysis and problem solving for complex asset failures, and high cost/ frequent failure assets. Implement outcomes and share lessons learnt with relevant stakeholders.
· Provide continuous improvement recommendations for asset maintenance strategies and provide feedback.
About you
· A university degree qualification in engineering (preferably electrical, mechanical or similar) and/or equivalent experience in operations or maintenance/renewals aspects wastewater systems..
· Minimum of 6 years’ experience with complex asset management applicable to water/wastewater networks or similar and/ or related engineering field.
· Experience with technical support and condition assessment of facility equipment.
· Experience in measurement, analysis and evaluation of system performance and condition and the development of strategies and work programs to improve performance, reliability, and condition.
· Experience developing refurbishment/renewals work programs.
· Maximo or equivalent computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) experience.
· Strong knowledge of reliability maintenance, including production of risk-based maintenance strategies
· Strong knowledge of facility assets used within water and/or wastewater networks.
