What Aurora Dairies can offer you

Aurora Dairies are currently seeking a Senior Farm Hand in Goon Nure, located 15 minutes from Bairnsdale in the Gippsland region of Victoria.

The farm is predominantly pasture based and has a herd of 1,200 cows calving in four groups across autumn, winter, spring and summer. The dairy has a 50-bale rotary with ACR’s, milk meters, auto teat spray and auto draft. Total property size is 700Ha with 160Ha of centre pivot irrigation, 40Ha lateral irrigation and 150Ha hose irrigation.

This role will include tasks the areas of:

• Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures.
• All aspects of milking.
• Animal husbandry.
• Pasture management.
• Machinery operation.
• Repairs and maintenance.

The desired skills and experience for this opportunity are:

• Past dairy industry experience is highly desirable for this position, in particular those with strong experience working with large herds.
