Senior Finance Officer

• Sydney CBD, hybrid working model
• $50 per hr plus super
• 6 month + role

It’s clients like these that I enjoy recruiting for as they have a supportive management team, have employees with long tenure and they offer a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.  Initially this temporary position is for 6 months but there is a very strong possibility that it will go on for longer as there is ample work with this business, and they reward their temporaries with contract extensions when results are coupled with performance.

Located in Sydney CBD, and working in a small team of 5, you will support the Financial Accountant with analysis, reconciliations, and accounting functions for workforce expenditures. This role also manages continuous improvement projects within the finance team and serves as the purchasing card administrator, ensuring compliance with controls. Using SAP some of your duties and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Payroll reconciliations including analysing costing reports
• Assisting with payroll tax obligations
• Long service leave reporting and reconciling employee-related provisions and process staff leave transfers
• Preparing annual Workers Compensation declarations
• Treasury ledger reconciliations
• Processing journals
• Assisting with cash forecasting
• Employee liabilities reconciliations, and
• Purchase card administration
