About the Role:The purpose of this role would be to manage the financial accounting for the Group's impairment and share-based payments activities while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, SOX, corporate policies and guidelines. The position would require the successful candidate to plan and deliver monthly accounting deliverables related to impairment and share-based payments during reporting period ends. This role would work closely with the finance function, including Tax, HR Rewards & Mobility, Group Financial Control, Financial Planning & Performance and Decision Analysis & Evaluation.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the Group's impairment and share-based payments accounting
- Oversee accounting processes for impairment and share-based payments activities in accordance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Asset teams and HR Rewards & Mobility
- Prepare key notes and presentations for senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with external stakeholders supporting valuations of share-based payment-related awards
- Engage with internal and external auditors
- Test and maintain SOX controls for Group Accounting processes
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Demonstrate commitment to and alignment with Woodside Values
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across functions
- Excellent understanding of International Accounting Standards including IAS 36, IFRS 6 and IFRS 2
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to senior stakeholders
- Keen commitment to continuous improvement
- Strong attention to detail with financial and/or commercial analytical skills
- Experience using SAP/4 HANA
- Professional qualification (CA/CPA) or equivalent
- 5+ years' work experience as a professional in finance/accounting
