As the Senior Financial accountant, you will be part of the Head Office finance team providing first-class business support for accounting teams across global regions.
We are looking for a candidate with initiative with opportunity for overseas travel in the next 3 years.
The ideal candidate is responsible for assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and the coordination and execution of account reconciliations.
This role reports to the Group Compliance and Technical Manager, who reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Job description
· Maintain CaseWare software reporting for the Australian and overseas entities
· Review and verify accuracy of internal financial reports and reconciliations
· Summarise and prepare financial reports and statements for external reporting
· Research accounting standards for application to the business
· Financial reporting specialising in the International Financial Reporting Standards and co-ordination of reporting requirements for local lodgments.
· Understanding of tax effect accounting
· Liaise with the local accountants and audit team members to identify and resolve queries.
Qualifications
· Degree in Accounting and Finance
· CA/CPA qualified
· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
· Team player
