Description
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare monthly management reports including analyzing and providing key insights on variances against budget and prior years.
Liaise with divisional heads to prepare cost center budgets.
Prepare regular reports on cost performance, including cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and cost of production to provide insights into cost trends, deviations from budget, and areas for improvement.
Manage inventory valuation and control processes, ensuring accurate recording of inventory levels and costs. Monitor inventory turnover rates, obsolete inventory, and inventory shrinkage to optimize inventory management practices and minimize carrying costs.
Liaise with supply chain and manufacturing teams to manage COGS update and analysis.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures, as well as external audit requirements.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the finance team.
Ad-hoc tasks as required.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CA, CPA, CFA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
5+ years of experience in financial, management, or cost accounting, preferably within pharmaceutical or FMCG environments.
Strong understanding of standard cost accounting.
Experienced with SAP (involvement in SAP implementation is preferred though not required).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
