About the role:
As our Senior Financial Accountant, you'll lead the charge in ensuring accurate and timely Statutory Reporting, financial analysis, and compliance. Showcase your financial leadership by managing month-end activities, guiding our Financial Accountant, and championing regulatory adherence.
Core responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cost center managers for comprehensive budget analysis and reporting.
- Manage tax obligations to ensure precision and punctuality in reporting.
- Oversee the preparation of annual statutory accounts and actively contribute to audit processes.
- Develop and implement financial policies to ensure compliance and practical business outcomes.
- Continuously enhance accounting policies and procedures for optimal efficiency and maintaining accounting standards.
- Supervise SRIMS and AR mapping.
- Liaise with Annual Report/VAGO and conduct GL reconciliations, including Project balances, Inventory, ROU/Fixed assets, Land Tax, Related parties, Trust, and Payroll.
- Handle technical accounting positions & reviews for NTER, AMAF, ABS, FBT.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics, including revenue recognition.

Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) and CA/CPA membership.
- Experience in preparing statutory accounts.
- Knowledge of Victorian Government financial reporting (desirable).
- Intermediate-advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Sound knowledge and application of accounting policies (AASB/IAS).
- Experience in managing internal controls and developing related policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deadline-driven with effective workload management.
