The Senior Financial Account is responsible for supporting all external financial reporting tasks which include month-end close, compliance with global policies and accounting standards, annual statutory reporting and tax lodgements for the CBRE GWS legal entities.
Here's a snapshot of your day
- Support and coordinate an effective and timely month end close in accordance with US GAAP to meet Group reporting requirements.
- Review Journal entries to ensure compliance with internal policy and accounting standards.
- Drive Balance Sheet reconciliation accuracy ensuring a timely resolution of outstanding and aging items.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial systems, as well as identify opportunities to enhance system efficiencies.
- Support segment wide consistency in adoption of financial and operational controls including implementation of SOX policies and global policies.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of statutory financial reporting and tax returns by working closely with external auditors and tax agents.
- Build and develop relationships with finance mangers across segments.
- Communicate regularly with business partners to ensure they are fully informed of any accounting initiatives.
- Proactively drive and engage in process improvement projects/ global initiatives.
- Bank Guarantee requests preparations and arrangements
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience with financial control, audit and internal controls.
- Strong IFRS and local tax knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to explain complex problems to all stakeholders
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or other finance related area
- Qualified Accountant (or local equivalent)
- Big 4 audit experience is a plus
