Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced financial officer with a minimum of 5+ years of experience focused solely on tax accounting for small to medium-sized businesses. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of various entities, including Trusts, Companies, Individuals, and Partnerships as well as experience with Xero, using it to implement long-term financial strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of tax accounting for small to medium-sized businesses, including Trusts, Companies, SMSFs, Individuals, and Partnerships.
• Prepare and review financial reports and statements for compliance and decision-making purposes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal policies.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
• Collaborate effectively with the team and assume a leadership role.
• Bookkeeping

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in public practice focusing on tax accounting for small to medium-sized businesses.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Strong understanding of various entities, including Trusts, Companies, , Individuals, and Partnerships.
• Experience with bookkeeping, payroll processing (including PAYG, Superannuation, and Workers Compensation), and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
