What's the role?Opportunity for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join News Corp Australia's Commercial Finance team based in our Surry Hills office.Reporting to the Head of FP&A Performance, this is a highly visible role in supporting financial strategy, analysis and decision making for NCA, acting as the link between individual business partnering teams and executive leadership that oversees NCA as a whole. In doing so, you will be accountable for delivering strategic insights through internal/external reporting to senior stakeholders - both within News Corp Australia and Global Head Office (NY) to create commercial value.Key will be collaborating effectively with other commercial finance teams to understand all areas of the business before distilling their individual results into key narratives.
Key Responsibilities- Craft the 'narrative' of NCA's results by analyzing business performance trends and drivers to explain variances against budget and forecast, whilst influencing how they are communicated to Executive Leadership and Global Head Office in NY.
Drive the preparation of timely and accurate reporting of results, insights, and analysis (e.g., weekly, monthly, and quarterly).Monitor non-financial metrics, competitor results, industry news, and macroeconomic drivers as lead indicators for financial performance.Respond to ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders as required.Partner with the Strategy team to support the development and implementation of NCA strategy.Support the delivery and implementation of opportunities for continuous process improvement, automation, and standardized reporting to achieve a best-practice finance function.
Who are you?- 5 + years relevant experience
Post graduate qualifications (eg.
