Your new company is a multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy that specialises in Building Services - namely Facade, Sustainability, general Building Services and Fire Protection. Located in South Brisbane, this firm works across the commercial, residential, health, leisure, industrial and mixed-use buildings, which offers a wide range of projects for you to work across. With offices across the east coast of Australia, this consultancy is looking for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to help with their increased workload, working out of the conveniently located Brisbane office.
Your new role
Your new role as a Senior Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for detailed design work, witnessing the entire project from conception and detailed design, through to commissioning and construction support. Your role will be applying deep technical knowledge and skill to a range of large/complex projects, across a number of sectors. This will involve providing expert guidance on fire safety and fire engineering in accordance with relevant legislation, codes, and risk management principals. This will cover liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, clients, and other engineers within the firm - including those based interstate. This is a fully flexible workplace, and offers work from home as normal.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will be a degree qualified Fire Services Engineer with demonstrated experience as a subject-matter expert in fire infrastructure and guidelines. You'll be confident in liaising with a range of stakeholders, driving tangible outcomes and have worked across a range of projects. You should be able to consistently produce accurate work without errors, and have a strong technical knowledge of relevant regulations, engineering codes and standards. An RPEQ Certification, or QBCC Licence, or working towards these qualifications is advantageous, but not mandatory. A good mix of experience including high hazard systems would also be advantageous.
