The Forest Products Commission (FPC) is a commercial Government Trading Entity that makes a big impact. Our work is shaping the future of the forest products industry.

The FPC is currently transitioning its business in alignment with the government’s changes in forest policy.  This includes a $350 million dollar investment in new softwood plantations to support Western Australia’s housing and construction industry.

About the role

The Senior Forester (Silviculture) manages and coordinates the implementation of operations within the Silviculture Branch to ensure that the State’s softwood plantations are efficiently and effectively established and maintained. The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to manage both contractors and staff, as well as indicating enthusiasm for plantation forestry and keeping abreast of best practice silvicultural techniques.

To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
