We specialise in providing geophysical wireline logging services to some of the largest mining projects in Australia.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Geoscientist to join our Geoscience team at our head office in Osborne Park. Reporting to the Geoscience Leader, you will play a crucial role in processing and interpreting geoscience data, developing innovative solution, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control and data collation for wireline geophysical data
  • Perform & track tool calibrations
  • Perform data interpretation, including structural interpretation, geotechnical (geomechanics) interpretations, sonic processing, hydrology studies, etc.
  • Write clear technical reports for clients on data interpretation projects
  • Interface with clients to discuss interpretations
  • Assist the geoscience manager in developing innovative solutions

About You

This role is a mid-career one, ideally suited for a professional with experience in geoscience interpretation with a strong geology or geotechnical background. You should have a good work ethic and bring an enthusiasm to work with geoscience data.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Geoscience with a strong preference for at least 2 years’ experience in the mining industry
  • A secondary degree in geology, geophysics, physics, or a similar field
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Diligent self-starter able to work independently and in small teams.
  • Experience in technical report writing.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Practical experience with Wellcad would be very beneficial 
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment.
