With a technology strategy firmly in place, our new Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for all things 'Cloud' at IMB across the full lifecycle. This is both a key leadership and subject matter expert role in driving cloud initiatives from the top down and the development, automation migration through to DevOps practices to meet both IMB business and technology needs.
The overall responsibility of this role encompasses:

• Working in collaboration with all stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture and Solution Design and Development teams, to deliver and drive cloud development, automation migration through DevOps practices to meet business and Information Technology needs;
• Establishing and maintaining cloud development standards and patterns supported by quality assurance processes in line with business needs and IMB security and information management requirements;
• Implementing and maintaining cloud operations tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis to ensure service, cost reduction, security and best practice operations;
• Managing resources for the successful completion of projects and changes, and the support of production environments and cost minimisation.

We welcome your application if you are able to demonstrate all or most of the following skills and experience:

• Degree qualified, with IT or business major with at least 5-10 years experience in Cloud engineering and the management of IT services across multiple systems and projects within small to medium enterprises;
• Demonstrable understanding of changing IT industry market conditions and directions;
• Experience mentoring other engineers, helping to uplift capability;
• Highly proficient in core provider services from Azure and AWS, preferably having supported deployments on one or more of these platforms;
• Professional level certifications desirable;
• Experience in DevOps CI/CD Tools and Operations, Terraform, GitHub, Containers/Kubernetes, APIs;
• Experience in building and developing modern, cloud-centric architectures;
• Competency with scripting and/or automation, specifically PowerShell.
