ABOUT THE POSITION.
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join their team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading Hydraulic Engineering projects, providing technical expertise, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions. DUTIES.
- Lead Hydraulic Engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements
- Conduct detailed hydraulic analysis and modeling using advanced software tools
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for complex engineering challenges
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree is advantageous
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Hydraulic Engineering, with a focus on water resources, stormwater management, and/or flood modeling
- Design Practitioner, FPAS Accreditation and CPeng is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Proven track record of successful project management and delivery
