About the role
It's an exciting time to join Senex with the recent announcement that we plan to invest more than A$1 billion in a major expansion of our Atlas and Roma North natural gas assets.
Reporting to the Subsurface Manager within our Operations division, we are currently on the hunt for a SeniorHydrogeologist to join our Brisbane team who will provide technical expertise in the field of hydrogeology compliance and hydrogeological resource definition across our Western Surat Gas Project and Atlas projects.
In this role, you'll take the lead in technical inputs, completing groundwater projects including data collection, interpretation, field planning, characterisation, and regulatory agency liaison.
Some key accountabilities will include:
- Develop groundwater impact assessments for pilots and development projects (private bores matters, geochemistry, water supply).
- Develop and assist with groundwater data management, hydrogeological logging, reporting.
- Plan, project manage and assist in field execution of bore baseline assessments.
- Design and supervise the installation of water supply, CSG monitoring and water monitoring bores.

About You
You will be tertiary qualified in hydrogeology/geology and be able to demonstrate many years of experience working in the oil and gas industry in hydrogeology including field work, assessment and design, report writing and liaison with regulators.
With a strong knowledge of Australasia's petroleum geology, water resources and sedimentary basis it would also be a huge win for us if you came with a professional accreditation in Hydrogeology.
This role will have you working collaboratively with key stakeholders within Senex as well as external landholder representatives, government agencies and third-party consultants so your ability to partner and build strong working relationships will be key to your success.
