The Senior Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Purchasing Officer is responsible for the purchasing and administrative maintenance of ICT goods and services, including hardware and software.
The role, in support of the Team Lead, will assist with and manage priorities in the day-to-day operation of the team, assist with program and project support activities, and provide general administrative support to the work unit.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- Whilst not mandatory, knowledge of and experience in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other tools and technology; and knowledge of and experience in the use of Boss, Info View and Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Financials within the public sector would be considered highly desirable.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Proven well developed knowledge of the Queensland Procurement Policy, State Procurement Plan and QAS financial and procurement policies and procedures,
particularly in relation to the acquisition of ICT goods and services necessary to support ICT programs. - Demonstrated ability to set and achieve realistic goals and establish work priorities to achieve required outcomes and meet deadlines, with a proven capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Highly developed conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse data with a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated highly developed communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration skills with the proven ability to build and maintain productive
relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. - Proven success in the development and implementation of practical, efficient and effective governance arrangements in respect to a range of corporate support functions including asset management, finance and human resources.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team to achieve business objectives and meet client service standards and a demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and best practice.
