How will I help?
This is an exciting opportunity upskill and learn new technologies within the infrastructure space. The team develops patterns for MQ, provides support and automates the use and management of MQ.
The Senior Infrastructure Technical Lead will provide expert services by implementing, managing, operating, and supporting high performance technology infrastructure development, design, and operations for the Westpac Group.
You will provide technical assistance and monitor issue resolution to ensure issues are resolved within a timely manner. Plan and review proposed changes to ensure successful implementation of infrastructure changes.
Additionally, your accountabilities may include:
Providing input into the development of technology strategies, standards, and governance procedures to support the development of effective infrastructure strategy.
Liaise with third parties/external support vendors for infrastructure maintenance and upgrades to ensure the stability and availability of technology infrastructure services to the business.
Provide high-level technical consultation to business/technology stakeholders to support relevant infrastructure partners.
Engage with relevant stakeholders to evaluate if infrastructure requirements can be defined in terms of existing or new services to ensure user requirements are understood and appropriately translated into infrastructure requirements

What do I need?
In this role you will be experienced with IBM WebSphere MQ and scripting languages within in a complex IT infrastructure environment.
Planning, implementing, operational management, configuration and maintenance
Analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills
Any exposure to any DevOps tools or technologies would be advantageous
