As the Senior In-house Commercial Counsel, you will be a trusted advisor to the business, providing strategic and pragmatic legal counsel on a wide range of commercial matters.
You will be responsible for leading negotiations for contracts, managing risk, and ensuring legal compliance across all commercial activities.
You will be working under an industry leader, who will continue to inspire, empower, and entrust you whilst continuing to support your learning within the legal sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor in-house team staff
- Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts
- Represent Employsure in relevant Courts and Tribunals
- Advise, negotiate and resolve employment disputes
- Advise, negotiate and resolve commercial disputes
- Review and advise upon advertising campaigns
- Manage litigation, including external counsel
- Minimum 8+ years of experience as a commercial lawyer, preferably in a private practice or an in-house role.
- Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and closing complex commercial agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial law principles, including contract law and corporate law. Ideally you will have had exposure to employment law
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
