Office of Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic Excellence

  • Leverage your expertise in various analytics and visualisation tools such as Python, Power BI, SQL, and Excel to drive informed decision-making and enhance business outcomes.
  • Two Level 8, full-time appointments available on a permanent/ongoing basis.
  • Base salary range: $106,775 – $116,709 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area
The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Excellence) is a diverse office within the Education portfolio that contributes significantly to oversight and future directions of the University curriculum. The Office also has overall responsibility for monitoring, reporting and facilitating academic quality and standards at the University.

About the opportunity
Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic Excellence, you will provide support in producing advanced analytics services and business intelligence solutions that provide clarity of performance, forecasting and insights to support decision making and business outcomes, and engage with stakeholders in the use of business performance analytics and delivery of key insights.

About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate a relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Data Science or Computer Science, and substantial analytics experience at an appropriate level, along with expertise in various analytics and visualisation tools such as Python, Power BI, SQL, and Excel. Your role will involve extensive client interaction, so excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are crucial. You must have strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively. Experience in developing, implementing, and refining processes and procedures is also essential.
