The role

The Senior Intelligence Analyst will be based in our Specialised Claims & Investigations Department, reporting to the Claims Investigation Specialist – Risk Assessment Hub. The Senior Intelligence Analyst role aims to prevent and detect fraudulent activity across all products in order to reduce premiums for our policyholders.
 

Our desired candidate will assist in the following, however not limited to:

• Developing, analysing, and reporting on fraud, financial crime, and risk exposure.
• Identifying and profiling high-risk networks and professionals to mitigate fraud exposure.
• Provide intelligence support to Claims Investigators on a case-by-case basis.
• Assisting in the development and testing of fraud prevention systems and software.
• Promptly identifying and reporting new and emerging fraud risks. 
• Conducting ad-hoc data and information analysis as required.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and company processes.
• Offering comprehensive data analysis to support fraud investigations across various operational areas.
• Delivering timely intelligence reports to Senior Management for strategic decision-making regarding fraud controls and risk exposure.

Experience our desired candidate will hold:

• Tertiary level qualification in intelligence, data analytics, or justice (criminology) studies preferred AND/OR 5+ years experience in Insurance
• Proven expertise in data intelligence, fraud investigation, research, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to translate data analysis into actionable business recommendations.
• Clear identification and articulation of risks and opportunities.
• Proficiency in utilising Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) tools, Microsoft Office suite, and IBM services (Analyst Notebook)
• Experience with PowerBI, or other analytics and visualisation tools.
• Preferred background in insurance, financial services, or intelligence/policing.
• Experience using SQL is preferred, but not required.
